CLASS is one of 84 Community Adult Learning Councils in the province of Alberta . We are funded by Alberta Learning. The following is our mission statement: CLASS and its network of members offer and promote diverse and ongoing learning opportunities to members of our community, enhancing their personal growth, development and wellbeing by providing educational opportunities to increase literacy, leisure and life skills.

CLASS is also responsible for the Adult Literacy program in our area. We match volunteer tutors with adults who want to improve their listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. As well, we offer a number of Family Literacy programs to support and foster a love of reading at all ages.

Through special project funding, we also offer the Collective Kitchens program throughout the County of Vermilion River.

Vision
CLASS will be a community leader in coordinating life-long learning for people with educational needs.

Purpose
CLASS meets the basic needs for life-long learning, which includes literacy, life skills and leisure education.

 Mission Statement
Our mandate is to ensure that adult learning is available throughout the County of Vermilion River. We work in partnership with agencies and individuals to give a variety of learning opportunities to the County of Vermilion River residents.
