ABSTRACTS IN WATERCOLOUR (Ages 14+)

Let’s play with watercolor, even if you’ve never tried before!  During this workshop you’ll playfully experiment with salt, sponges, knives and gravity with paint to achieve patterns, textures, and details. Completed projects will be approximately 11” x 14” in size. Supplies will be provided and are available for purchase. Bring examples of what you want to create as well as your lunch!

BABYSITTING & PERSONAL SAFETY COURSE (Ages 11+)

St. John’s Ambulance program designed to teach youth the skills necessary to earn money babysitting, or feel safe at home alone. We cover emergency preparedness, childcare and feeding, some first aid and how to interact with kids of different ages.  Certificate upon passing.

Students will be guided through the process of creating a fun acrylic painting of their own. The students will be led step by step as they create an 8x10 masterpiece based on one common sample work.  All materials will be provided. Bring a lunch.

FLOWERS IN ANY MEDIUM (Ages 14+)

In this one day workshop you can choose your medium and paint colourful flowers.  Monica and Sandra will guide you through your project in watercolour, oil or acrylic paint. Canvas, watercolour paper, oil and watercolour paints will be provided (you must supply your own acrylic paint).  Please bring 2 or 3 good quality pictures of flowers to work from and a lunch.

Home Alone (Ages 10+)

Keep your kids safe at home alone!  Youth ages 10+ learn basic First Aid and safety tips. Kids will learn what to do in event of fires, emergencies and severe storms. Also they’ll learn how to phone for help, what to do with house keys, what to do if they are feeling scared and how to act in case of strangers. This course will even teach your kids how to fight boredom. Please bring your own water and snacks.  Certificate upon completion.  (2 locations offered)
