- Literacy is important because I understand when people talk to me. CLASS has helped me learn by giving me books and a tutor and having a Multicultural Mom’s Group. Kifah
- Literacy is important because I live in Canada and I want to learn English and my children to learn English. CLASS has helped me learn with a tutor and English books. I am learning to read labels on products in the stores and go to the clinic and pharmacy. Moneera
- Thru CLASS I learned more basic things to do with the computer and e-mail. As an adult, I find it harder to memorize, but easily learn things that interest me, especially with hands-on experience. Learning something new every day is exciting and stimulating. The classes through CLASS made communicating with friends or for business faster and easier. Shirley
- Literacy is important because without it you can’t go anywhere in life. Class has helped me learn to read. I am learning English better because I want to enjoy reading, books and poetry more. Literacy Student
- I would like to thank CLASS for having their babysitting course. Both of my children have taken this course and benefitted from the confidence it provides. This has allowed my children to develop themselves, their esteem, leadership qualities and provide a service to the community. I appreciate that courses like these are offered and hopefully will continue in the future, as all children need these skills. Thank you. Raelle
- This year I have learned CPR and numerous professional updates dealing with new comers. Learning as an adult is more difficult, but growth and development are important lifelong. Plus it makes your quality of life better both physically and socially. Gloria
- I find learning as an adult easier because I am choosing to learn and as a result interested in what I am learning. I think lifelong learning is important because the world continues to change and in order to keep up we need to keep informed. CLASS has helped me by exposing me to new ways of doing things which has broadened my skills and experiences. Pat
- I've taken photography classes, Photoshop classes, and writing classes through organizations such as CLASS. Having these types of opportunities available to our community is invaluable. The more people learn (and continue to learn) the more value and assets they have available to put back into our communities. Skill-set is mandatory, and education to attain that is key. Organizations like CLASS are critical. Billi
- It keeps people active and current. It organized and promoted an excellent activity that has many benefits. Kym
- I took two courses this past year with CLASS, both to increase my confidence and to better myself. Learning as an adult I find easier than as a young student because most of the course content makes sense now as I could relate through life, experience and age. Some courses are just common sense. I took the courses to learn something new and to prove to myself that I can still do it. The courses will help me for the rest of my life and at least one of them I hope will help me if I choose to go back into the work force once my kids leave home. Did I still feel pressure to do well, yes, I was very nervous going back into a classroom, even if it was only for two days. I was scared of failure. It was hard to study with all the normal duties and household pressures of life, but would I take more courses, yes.
- Without CLASS I would never have known about the offered courses and they wouldn't have been made known to the public. We have very many opportunities out there to improve our lifestyles, to increase our interests, many skilled, educated, qualified people who can teach us every day adults a new skill or give us an opportunity that would otherwise not be available. I've been out of school for quite a few years and going back to school full time is not an option for me, but being able to attend 1 or 2 day courses to help improve myself, I would do it again.
- My daughter has taken numerous courses through CLASS and it is only because they were made known and available to the general public. Connie
